Moon

Sometimes you just need to appreciate the beautiful things around you, grab a camera and capture the exquisite things in life.
Dad grabbed me out of bed the other night to take some photos because he happened to look outside and saw that the moon was looking really pretty and I'm glad I did. Just look how beautiful it is and how clear. Makes me want to see more.

Seals

So this post is a tad different to the usual fashion malarky but last weekend I went to see some seals at a local beach so I thought I'd post about it!
Me and Matt decided last weekend to go to Horsey beach which is where loads of seals live and there are lots of them this time of year because they come on to the beach and in the dunes to have their pups :) It was a dry wintery day and it was quite busy so we were told when we arrived that the carpark was full so they opened up a field for us to park in, which soon filled up a bit. We walked through and it was like a mile walk, maybe a little less to the first viewing point which was so cool and lovely. The seals just looked so cute and some of them were really close! After this viewing point it was possibly another mile walk maybe a bit longer to the next viewing point which was a little better as the seals were really close at this one and we could see more, on this one you could walk along the top a bit more to see more of the other side :)
It was such a lovely lovely wintery day, filled with families in wellies and all wrapped up :) I thought I would share some photos :)

This one was really close to us and kept waving!

                                                             Aw smiley embarrased seal

                                                                 Matt with a seal :D

On the move!

Burgundy OOTD

Today was a bit of a lazy Saturday as I didn't do much except go in to town and wagtch a dvd pree much but because I wear a uniform all week at work I enjoy being able to wear what I want at weekends, and actually look forward to it, as sad as that is! So here is today's:

Blue skinny jeans- Newlook, £10 in the sale
White shirt- Charity shop, £3 maybe?
Blazer Newlook, £13 in the sale
Bowler Hat- Ebay, £5 I think
Turtle necklace- secret santa present a few years back :)

I am really enjoying burgundy, I have for a while but I need other colours because I find I have little that goes with it because most of my clothes are burgundy and I can't wear everything burgundy I will look like some kind of grape!

The little details. :)

Let It Begin!

So it's officially 2014! A new year, and the start to The Charity Shop Challenge! I went charity shop shopping for the first time this year today as I have been busy working like every day, except yesterday but I was off ill.. :( But today I felt better and Dad took me to my nearest town, they have lots of charity shops there, more than normal shops! Like there is no normal clothes shop really, which used to be annoying but now it's very handy!

I went to Sue Ryder and it was a bit traumatic because some old lady fell over on the step going in to the shop and banged her head and the paramedics had to come and I was right next to her, so that was sad. But I did find some stuff. They were having a sale which is always good.

I found a grey dress with one floaty sleeve and one sleeveless side. I don't really like the whole one sleeve thing so want to cut it off.. it was only £2.25 though, and it's Topshop. If I cut it I will upload a pic.

I also got a wooly red scarf originally from Sainsburys for £1.50 which has little pockets for your hands in it each side! It's really long and thick and I've been looking for a thicker longer one as my tartan one isn't keeping me very warm atm. I did get 2 wooly scarves for Christmas but they all go with different things so it's nice to have a choice!

The next things I picked up were all books as they were all 50p. I love Charity Shops for books because I figure you can't go wrong really, especially for that price! If I don't like the books then I don't lose much!
I got :Stories We Could Tell by Tony Parsons
Confessions Of A Working Girl by Miss S
A Million Little Pieces by James Frey
and a little display book of comic keep calm and carry on quotes but tbh I wish they weren't comic.. because I don't find them that funny but I have kept it on 'When life gives you lemons have a gin and tonic.'

I went to a few other charity shops after this but didn't get anything in the next 2, just one thing in a charity shop  which I can't remember the name of annoyingly! I found a kaleidoscopey/mirrored print midi/mini body con dress which is really pretty and not usually what I go for as I haven't worn a bodycon dress in a really long time but I really like it :) I am hoping to go out on Friday so shall where it then I think :) with some tights and black heels :)

I shall be uploading some more blog posts recently, showing pictures from Christmas and stuff hopefully :) and some more ootds :)

Dotcomgiftshop sale buys.

So today I thought I would spend the whole day drinking and looking online in the sales! As that is how exciting my New Years Eve is! But I have got some cool bargains that I obviously didn't need, but that are so cute, I just HAD to have :) There are 4 items and with postage it came to £11.64!
Dotcomgiftshop is a really cool website, with loads of cute and quirky things, I usually find gift websites can be full of tacky stuff, but not this one :) Also the sale is amazing, pages and pages and pages full of lovelyness! So much money off! So here is what I purchased...

Rambling Rose Block Desk Calendar

£2.95

was £9.95

This lovely lovely wooden block calender is so cute and will look adorable in my room on my bedside table. Also saving £7, bargain!  :)

Fairy Tale Cottage Night Light

£2.50

was £4.95

I got so overly excited when I saw this night light! Although it is for children.. we shall forget that.. my lamp broke so I have fairy lights, a light up pig, a light up owl and now a light up cottage!! Eeeek! I am so excited!!!

Pink Doughnut Trinket Pot

£1.95

was £3.95

This purchase was a bit random but I have lots of stud earrings and little bits that get lost easily, especially hair grips! And I have been looking for a trinket box, and this doughnut is not my usual style (vintage/shabby chic) but I thought it was sooooo cute and pink and lovely and for less than £2 I couldn't really say no!

Folding Umbrella White/red Polkadot

£1.29

was £12.95

This purchase was probably the most practical thing that I got! A spotty umbrella! I lost/broke a million! The saving is pretty impressive too!

So that is what I got, I am very excited for them all to arrive and I will update with more pictures! :)

Charity shop playsuit OOTN

So in my last post I wrote a little bit about my new playsuit that was £5 from a charity shop. I wore it out the other night for a Chrismas meal and thought I would take some photos before the night to show you how I styled it, and another chance to test out my new camera! :)

My eyes are retarded, but I found a festive 'JOY' sign and got excited.

Dad jumped in the photo!

So I decided to wear the black and white aztec playsuit with a white cardigan for warmth and comfort and a burgundy bowler hat to add some colour :)

The sign came out again

It was the perfect thing to wear for a roast! roomy!!

Right, bit of a short post but I'll be doing more ootd posts soon :) Also like that the photos are taken in my houses, all countrysidey :)

Charity Shop Challenge

So I have not been on here since October! Oops, but I am going to be on here a lot more from Jan 1st! This is because this is when my Charity Shop challenge starts, where I am only going to be buying my clothes from charity shops, for a whole year! It's very exciting, and I am hoping to blog and vlog some of it :)
I am really excited to try this because as much as I love some clothes from high street shops, shopping in them stresses me out, the people, what to buy, trying to keep up with whatever trends are in.. I find shopping in charity shops so exciting, I could spend hours in them! so you may be thinking it won't be a challenge for me but I am pretty sure it will! I do buy clothes from them regularly but I've never found jeans or trousers in them, or coats so it's going to be interesting. And also ofcourse it means all the money I spend on clothes will be going to charity, lots of different charities! Which is amazing. Charity shops also tend to be bloody cheap! So I can start saving my money from my new job to pay off my overdraft or save, or whatever :) So atm I am really super excited for it and I can't wait to start! I thought I'd get in the charity shop mood by showing you a playsuit I got the other day from scope! I am in love with it! It has a super cute black and white aztec print and was originally from glamourous which I think they sell at New look? It was only £5 and fits really nice! It isn't too lose on the top so doesn't make me look bigger than I am as it goes in nice at the waist, but it's quite loose at the bottom so feels kinda like a dress and it's super comfy.

Also these photos were taken with my new Nikon L820 bridge camera which I am very excited to play around with! As will be using it a lot soon! :)
But yes, more will be happening on here soon, promise :)
